DuPontTM Tedlar® PVF Film
DuPontTM Tedlar® polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) products are a part of the DuPont fluoropolymer family. Tedlar® PVF products offer a unique balance of aesthetics while offering the durability of a fluoropolymer. Originally produced in the '60s as a transparent film, the Tedlar® PVF product line is continually expanding and currently consists of a PVF resin and over 150 oriented and cast films servicing a wide variety of applications and markets.
Uses & Applications
DuPontTM Tedlar® polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) products can be found in numerous applications as a release film or as surface protection.
Tedlar® films are widely used as a protective laminate for FRP panels used in the production of trucks and trailers. You can find Tedlar® release film being used as a media for transfer printing or as a release film for printed circuit boards and various composite laminations. Tedlar® can be heat-sealed and is used to encapsulate ceiling tiles, fiberglass insulation, or used to produce gas-sampling bags. Slit into narrow strips, Tedlar® is used for tapes, motor winding, wrapping bridge cables, or underground cables.
